[ER10] Chemical, Biological and Radiological Awareness Course

COURSE OBJECTIVE

  • To equip participants with knowledge and skills on the risks presented by Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) situation and what can be done to deal with the initial situation until the responding agencies arrive

COURSE OUTLINE

  • Gain insights into the various types of CBR incidents that had occurred previously
  • Understand the complexity of managing CBR incidents
  • Understand the classification and differences between Toxic Industrial Chemicals and Chemical (CBR) risk
    – Identify effects of chemicals on human, based on signs and symptoms
  • Understand the classification and various types of Biological (CBR) risk
    – Identify its effects based on behavioural patterns
  • Understand the classification of Radiological (CBR) risk
    – Identify the signs of radiological substance exposure
  • Create awareness of other CBR risks
  • Prepare and respond to a CBR incident in your premises
    – Awareness of soft and hard targets
    – Identify the threats and signs of a CBR attack
    – Strengthening the premises against a CBR attack
    – Understand the tasks to be carried by internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Facilities Management Team, First Responders, etc.)
