COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed to equip participants from various industries with CERT Team with essential skills and knowledge to manage their incidents effectively at their premises as a Site Incident Controller (SIC). This is also a WSQ module accreditated by WDA.

- Implications of statutory and organisational requirements
- Standard operational requirements
- Value of a well written Incident Management Plan
- Characteristics of the plant, equipment and facility and associated facilities during emergency situations
- Importance of maintaining effective communications (fixed or mobile) with relevant personnel (supervisors, operators, etc)
- The roles and responsibilities of Incident Management Team members
- Command and control principles and techniques
- Types of Incident Management tools and resources
- Types of appropriate emergency response equipment
- Incident mitigating and suppression techniques and strategies
- Transition from mitigation operation phase to recovery phase
- Emergency response evaluation and debriefs
- Identification and communications to relevant stakeholders and government agencies

CERTIFICATION
Participants will be awarded a downloadable e-Statement of Attainment by SSG upon passing the assessment
